Dr Emilie Vallee is a veterinarian, originally from France. She obtained a masters degree on animal health and disease surveillance from the CIRAD (French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development) and a PhD from Massey University. She has more than 10 years of experience in veterinary epidemiology. She is currently a senior lecturer at the EpiCentre, Massey University. Her main research interests are diseases at the interface between animals, humans and the environment such as leptospirosis, and the effects of climate change on animal health.
