Kyoko Kusakabe

Kyoko Kusakabe is a professor at Gender and Development Studies, Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. Her research focuses on gender and informal work, labor migration and women in agriculture and fisheries. Her work is mainly in Asia especially in Southeast Asia, and she has worked with both government, non-government organizations and international organizations. In partner with these organizations, she has been engaged in gender analysis of organizations, gender mainstreaming, as well as gender integration in development projects and policies. She is actively engaged in integrating gender analysis in fisheries and aquaculture. Kyoko has also worked with OiE on gender analysis of veterinary services in Southeast Asia.
