Dr. Martha Simanjuntak work in the division that handles national surveillance and coordination of national animal disease testing at the Directorate of Animal Health, Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia. She also became a “program mentor” for the veterinary epidemiology training program in Indonesia called “PELVI” and played an active role in the creation of the PELVI postgraduate program with the UGM Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. She was the chairman of the 4th ASEAN Veterinary Epidemiology Group meeting in the Philippines in 2018.
She also collaborates with various international organizations to increase epidemiological capacity, improve laboratory quality, increase laboratory capacity and national surveillance capacity, with FAO ECTAD Indonesia, US CDC, AIP EID (Australia), AIHSP (Australia), and the Fleming Fund Country Grand for Indonesia.
